Because July has been busy at work, I have not had much time to walk around and take pictures during the week. But because of the long days, I can usually squeeze in a bike ride after work, and of course there are the weekends. This week my blog is a bit shorter than in recent weeks, 15 images, and all of them were taken while out cycling (hence, all taken with the newly acquired Panasonic GM5).

I have shown the main street in Busot recently, but I think this is a better picture, looking down from the top where the church and town hall is located:

One of the mornings I went down to the beach to look at the sunrise:

The clouds were heavy but as is often the case, it was an empty threat (or promise, if you will):

A more normal view of the beach this time of year:

Aigües is a frequent stop on my itinerary, partly because it is a good place to stop after 10 km of cycling uphill, partly because there is a grocery store where I can buy a cold Coke, and partly because I love watching the village life unfold before my eyes. This scene made me realise that we males always want to impress the females, regardless of age:

A painter, facing the church and the plaza, but painting a rather embellished picture:

During another afternoon ride, I stopped at the harbour in El Campello:

The resident kitties are still there:

This one looked somewhat too scrawny:

At the weekend, I cycled to Busot and Jijona. This is the road between the two towns:

Jijona is a proper town, not a village, but it has aspects of village life, such as this woman taking 5 minutes to leave the local bakery because she kept conversing with the baker lady inside:

I always enjoy seeing a bit of green in our arid landscape:

And we have vineyards too, producing good wine with a high alcohol content because of all the sunshine:
