Following my trip to Denmark, I had a week with three restaurant visits, so lots of food and people pictures this week. Also a bit of cycling; of course, I did go to work as well, but not much photogenic activity happened at the office.

On Sunday I cycled to Villajoyosa up the coast near Benidorm. I love the narrow streets in the centre:

The streets in the first two photos lead from the main road down to the town’s main beach, Playa del Centro. It was quite empty on this November morning, although the weather was nice, sunny and warm. I am posting two photos from the beach, because I cannot make up my mind as to whether I like the one without people or the next one, with a couple of silhouettes:

After my bike ride, we went for lunch at a restaurant in the countryside, 40 km away or so, a popular place that our friends Eliot and Assumpta wanted to try. Before the meal, Eliot and my wife:

We were 7 altogether, and since restaurants are only allowed to seat 6 people at a table, the young ones had their own table:

My daughter ALWAYS wants dessert:

We had, among other things, a rice:

The best dish were these small meatballs called albóndigas:

At the neighbouring table, the dog also had a chair:

Behind the restaurant there was an olive grove:

On Wednesday, I went out for lunch again, this time with my colleagues from work. Just five of us, and eating outside on the beach near the office. The excuse was a belated celebration of mine and Carolina’s birthdays during the preceding week–mine on November 1st, hers on November 2nd. Here she is, with our new trainee Alejandra:

Carolina is always good for a laugh:

While waiting for our food, I enjoyed watching the human traffic on the promenade:

The food was very nice, starting with this pulpo a la gallega:

And continuing with a nice slice of tuna:

A couple of morning images from my neighbourhood; first, our beach during sunrise:

One of the few new businesses I have seen in a long time, a churro stand:

On Friday we had our monthly department meeting. Since we are around 45 people, we could not all be in the same room, so it was a mixed presencial/online affair. Carolina is making a presentation to our colleagues, on MS Teams:

Then the weekend arrived, and on Saturday my wife, Monica and I went for lunch at a nearby restaurant called La Palloza. I noticed the very well fed restaurant cat:

He then assumed this exalted position and monitored our lunch:

And there was certainly a lot to be looked at and enjoyed:

Of course, we also cooked at home. This is one of my favourite dishes, Gochujang shrimp with tofu and green beans:
