This week’s pictures are all from my new home, Alicante.
Every few days, I stop on my way home from work at a place called Puerta del Mar, in the centre of Alicante, near the seaside. In the evening, the light can be almost magic there.

Along the road to Valencia; not all Spanish people support bullfighting. The mural reads “No tradition justifies torture. Do not applaud his pain!”:

The beach is not so crowded this time of year. Here is the empty guardhouse on Albufereta beach in Alicante:

And something completely different. This is where I spend many Saturday evenings, watching football in a bar called The Place, drinking pints of Newcastle Brown Ale at prices that are lower than in England:
Hi Nathan – Haven’t been on your site for a while. Love Alternate 3 ‘the guardhouse’. Perfect verticals and horizontals – love the perspective. Hope you like Alicante. Tschüss, Martine
