All this week’s pictures were actually taken during just two days, Sunday and Monday. On Tuesday I left for Poland to spend the holidays with my sister there, and the pictures from that trip will end up in a separate gallery.

On one of the squares there was a medieval market going on, a typical Spanish event at Christmas time. Basically, it is food and various arts and crafts, sold by people in more or less medieval-looking attire:

Walking on the Esplanada de España, I saw the timeless, universal sight of a toy vendor and a little boy tugging at his mother:

Sunday evening I went to Linda’s Bar in El Campello to watch the Arsenal-Liverpool game:

It had been a pretty nice day, so the African DVD vendors had done some business on the nearby beach. Now in the evening one of them dropped in, and Linda obviously knew him from previous visits:
