Following all the travelling the previous week, this week was just quiet life–working, cycling, settling into the new house (while dealing with the continuing remodelling mess, something that will continue to be part of life for the next month or so).

First a couple of shots from my neighbourhood. This is our street a bit after sunset:

The nearest supermarket is about 500 meters away. It has a large, covered vestibule with “parking” for dogs. I still miss Cheeta, every day, but I always stop and look at whoever is waiting for his/her human there. This Dalmatian was positively pawing with expectation:

Cycling again, as usual to Aigües, and as usual I enjoyed seeing the social life on the square (my bicycle is just visible in the background):

Later on the same ride, I stopped at the mercadillo on my way home to buy some olives and a roasted chicken for lunch. As always, I walked around a bit, hunting for images, and I particularly liked this fruit vendor:

And now to the office. The building in which I work is connected to the other two buildings with an elevated walkway. This walkway is currently being used for a small art exhibition, with the works available for sale to benefit our office charity club (which in turn supports various local charities):

Our colleague Ralph, a German lawyer who has been at the office for many years, is leaving us for a job at the European Commission in Brussels. One afternoon he invited us all to a farewell drink in our kitchen/munching/drinking area. As always, I was there to enjoy the drink and to photograph my colleagues enjoying themselves, starting with Ralph and Claire, our communications manager:

Franciska, another German lawyer in our department. She is a copyright expert:

Our beach, Playa Muchavista, is 450 meters from our house, and so I photograph it frequently, in various kinds of weather and light:

This image was taken a couple of km north, along the same beach:

One way I often enjoy the beach on weekends is to go for a beer on the promenade while I watch the people walking by, or, as in this case, the people (and animals) at the other tables:
