Last Monday I had an appointment in a suburb of Alicante called San Vicente del Raspeig. I was early, so I went for a walk in the centre of the village, which yielded the first five images.

Calle Mayor is the main street of San Vicente; it has a decidedly old-fashioned look. Even though we are near Alicante, we could just as well have been 100 km inland:

Thursday morning we flew to Gatwick to spend 4 days in England. First stop was Crawley near the airport, to visit some good friends whom we have known since our time in Belgium (like us, they later lived in the Netherlands and have moved back to England a year or so ago).
