This week begins and ends with trips inland, with some Alicante stuff mixed in.

We start at home. My daughter had made some vegan chocolate chip cookies, and while they were cooling, she wisely built a barrier to protect them from our greedy dog:

On Sunday we went to Algar, a place in the mountains famous for its waterfalls and mountain streams. Not exactly Niagara falls, but in our arid land it is refreshing to see a real river:

Thursday evening I took four women out for dinner to celebrate completion of a project. We spent the evening sitting outside and eating tapas:

Saturday we went on a hike in the mountains. The gallery is elsewhere, but here are a couple of images from Pedreguer, the town where the hike ended. A sleepy little place, and the first place I have been to where even the younger people spoke Valenciano.
