A short blog this week. The main event was the acquisition of a new lens for my Fuji X cameras, a 17-70mm f2.8 Tamron zoom, to see if it could serve as the only lens to take on trips.

Starting in my garden. My mother’s cactus was rewarding us with flowers again:

Then on to my testing of the new lens. I did it the usual way, by going to the centre and taking some pictures, starting with the fountain on Plaza de Correos:

I then went for a beer at my favourite bar, Malatesta, which also provided me with opportunities for testing the lens at full aperture:

At the weekend, I was out cycling as usual, stopping in the village of Verdegás for a short break. One thing I like about the village are the cats that hang around the church square. On this occasion, this cat was sleeping on one of the benches:
