It was a quiet week, photographically speaking. Just work, cycling, going shopping and running errands.

On Monday morning, I stopped by the beach on my way to work to look at the cleanup after the weekend’s storm:

The beach still bore the scars of the storm but people were out and about nonetheless:

On Tuesday morning we had a strange reddish haze which made the morning sun look like a large moon:

On Thursday morning I cycled to Aigues and was struck by the cloud pattern above the church:

After taking the preceding photo, I decided that a wider view might be more interesting:

I continued to photograph the dogs waiting for their humans in the vestibule of our local supermarket. This one looked a bit sad:

This big boy just looked with expectation at the door of the supermarket:

One day I had to go to the post office to which my office belongs to pick up a book I had bought from City Lights in San Francisco (and for which I therefore had to pay some VAT which is why it was not simply delivered to me at the office). The post office is located in a modest neighbourhood called La Florida, and I rarely go there. But this time I noticed an interesting fountain on the adjacent Plaza de la Viña:

I hung around for a few minutes, exploring different angles of the fountain:

Then this cute creature appeared, being walked by her human, but no leash was required, apparently–she just followed a few steps behind him:

The doggie even posed for me, squinting in the strong mid-day sun:

Finally, back home, a piece of garden fauna:

Our neighbours have a house somewhere in Castilla la Mancha (the region west of our Valencia region, on the way to Madrid), and they brought us some of their homegrown garlic. I thought it would make a nice photo (by now, we have worked our way through much of this bowl, there are only 3 heads left as I write this):
And that was it for a quiet week.
