Week 18: cycling, office people, lunch at Eliot’s

A quiet week in between the many trips I am having this spring. So this week’s blog is about our friends, people from the office and of course the sights I encounter when out on my bicycle.

I started the week with my usual ride on Sunday morning. In Aigües, I stopped to photograph this cat “guarding” his house:

In the afternoon, we had lunch with our friend Eliot, and as always, seared meat was the centrepiece of the meal:

On Tuesday morning, the light over El Campello during my morning bike ride was so nice that I had to stop and take a picture:

At the office, we had the “Last Tuesday of the Month” drink. We used to do it on the last Friday of each month, but because so many people telework on Fridays, we have recently decided to move it to the last Tuesday. The change was suggested by our new director Patricia, who hates to miss out on events like this:

As usual, I took advantage of the opportunity to photograph my co-workers, like Blanca and Livia here:

And finally, my French colleague Berengère, serving herself some Polish Riesling that I had brought, in a beer glass. Quel horreur!

As I do quite often, I stopped by the beach on my way home one day to have a beer at 100 Montaditos and to watch the people a bit. The spider was in full use:

During my bike ride on Saturday morning I stopped near Agost to look at the grape fields there:

When they appear later in the year, these grapes are destined for the table rather than for wine-making:

In the afternoon, I was back at 100 Montaditos and ran into our friend Eliot who had been working all day and stopped there for a beer and a snack (he sells and installs A/C equipment, so spring is the busiest time of the year for him):

The beaches are getting busy now that the weather is consistently sunny:
