Last weekend, I attended a computer event in Utrecht, called the HCC Dagen. One of the highlights was the inaugural Dutch championship in computer assembly. Each contestant was supposed to build a fully functioning computer from scratch in under 15 minutes. This guy is a picture of concentration and tension:

When I first visited Zaltbommel, I was intrigued by the signs pointing to the ritual Jewish bath. Unfortunately, the Jewish community in the town is largely a thing of the past; the mikve now is a museum. But it is still nice to see the sign…
