This week’s pictures are mostly from work-related activities: having lunch during the week, and events at the office. Also a few images from walking the dog. In other words, one of my “slices of life” weeks.

On Tuesday a colleague invited me for lunch at what he promised would be a unique type of place. It turned out to be an old-style beach resort about 25 km south of the office. The coast in that area is heavily built up with hotels and apartment buildings, but there is a stretch of a few km where time seems to have stood still since the 1960s. This is the back terrace of the restaurant:

Of course, as with any restaurant, the food is the most important thing. And it was excellent tapas-type food. Here is an example, patatas bravas. A traditional dish of potatoes with a spicy sauce, nicely executed:

The Alicante Chamber of Commerce has produced a study attempting to quantify the impact of our office on the region’s economy (quite significant). The study was presented to us this week at an event in Chamber. Here is the president of our office (center) talking with one of my fellow executives (left) and a local business bigwig:

I continued to document Beatrice’s growing stomach. This time we decided to use a meeting room as a backdrop, since she had actually produced the big charts on the wall:

I have photographed this “sculpture” at the Carrefour supermarket before, but I like this version better:
